LAWA Leather — Limited Warranty
LAWA Leather — Limited Warranty
Effective date: 24.10.2025
At LAWA Leather, we craft products designed to last. This Limited Warranty explains what is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.
1) Warranty Coverage
LAWA Leather warrants that products purchased directly from lawaleather.com or an authorized retailer are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”).
Covered manufacturing defects include, for example:
• Premature failure of stitching or seams
• Faulty zippers, snaps, rivets, buckles, or other hardware
• Delamination or separation of bonded layers due to manufacturing error
If a covered defect appears during the Warranty Period, we will, at our discretion, repair the item, replace it with the same or a comparable product, or issue store credit equal to the purchase price if repair or replacement is not available.
2) What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by:
• Normal wear and tear (patina, surface scratches, minor wrinkles, or natural stretching)
• Natural characteristics of leather, including grain variation, color differences, marks, veins, or slight dye irregularities
• Improper care or cleaning, exposure to water, oils, cosmetics, alcohol or solvents, extreme temperatures, or sunlight
• Accidents, misuse, neglect, or alterations, including unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Loss or theft
• Third-party customizations (monograms, embossing, aftermarket alterations)
Color transfer between materials (e.g., denim to leather) and patina development are natural and not considered defects.
3) Who Is Covered
This warranty applies to the original purchaser (or the original gift recipient) with valid proof of purchase. It is not transferable and does not apply to second-hand purchases or items bought from unauthorized resellers or marketplaces.
4) How to Make a Claim
Please contact us as soon as you discover a potential defect and within the Warranty Period.
1. Email: support@lawaleather.com (or use the Contact form on our website).
2. Include: order number, date of purchase, product name, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos or a short video.
3. Our team will assess your request within 5–7 business days and provide next steps.
If we need to inspect the item, we’ll give you a return authorization and shipping instructions. Items returned without authorization may be refused.
5) Shipping Costs for Warranty Service
• If your claim is approved, LAWA Leather will cover return shipping of the repaired/replaced item back to you.
• Depending on your location, we may provide a prepaid label for sending the item to us; if not, please retain your receipt—we will reimburse reasonable inbound shipping costs for approved defects.
• If the claim is not approved, we will notify you of available paid repair options and return shipping costs before proceeding.
6) Remedies
Where a claim is approved, LAWA Leather will, at its sole discretion:
• Repair the product using original or functionally equivalent materials, or
• Replace the product with the same model or a comparable model of equal value, or
• Issue store credit if repair or replacement is not reasonably available.
Repairs or replacements do not extend or renew the original Warranty Period.
7) Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life of your leather goods. We recommend:
• Brushing off dust; wiping with a soft, dry cloth; using a leather-appropriate conditioner sparingly
• Avoiding prolonged moisture, direct heat, solvents, and oils
• Storing in a breathable dust bag away from direct sunlight
Damage resulting from inadequate care is not covered by this warranty.
8) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAWA Leather’s liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product. We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the product or from breach of this warranty.
9) Your Statutory Rights
This Limited Warranty provides specific rights. Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including mandatory rights in the EU/EEA, the UK, and Switzerland.
10) Governing Law
Unless otherwise required by mandatory local law, these Warranty Terms are governed by the laws of Poland (without regard to conflict-of-law rules), and disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of the customer’s domicile or of Poland as mandated by applicable consumer law.
